2004 Appalachia Mission Trip - Day 4
Day 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | Home
Power was out at LMU last evening due to a storm so we the worship service in the gym was canceled. By the grace of God, Charles filled in with a
worship time for just our team. We made our way over to the church where we conduct the Bible School and by flashlight received a message for the evening. We then embarked on a journey to KY and the Sonic. This is one of the
highlights of free time for the groups here.Today started out with the kids from yesterday bringing their friends. The group grew and the Youth handled the day with enthusiasm and real love for these kids. It is amazing to see the work the Youth can do and you know the Spirit is working in them. Another great day for the VBS
In this evening's Worship, Andrew spoke on God having called Joshua just as he calls all of us. He calls us to have a relationship with Him. He calls us to be holy. He calls us according to his purpose. Because he has a purpose, our life has meaning and our life has a destiny. While giving us this calling God assures us that he will never leave or forsake us. Knowing this don't let your sinful past paralyze what you do today. Just because you mess up, don't give up. He calls us and actually commands us to be strong and courageous because he will lead us.
Following worship there is family time where the guys and gals separate into groups and meet to go over the day, the worship service and anything else they feel on their hearts. This is a wonderful time of sharing and reflection.
Please continue to pray for this team, the kids at the VBS and the entire effort that is part of Appalachia Missions.
