The Appalachia Mission Team's Day 2 begins with morning Worship services with our host Church, Harrogate United Methodist. The Pastor at Harrogate is the Reverend Sam Johnson and he is the Pastor at two other area churches. His sermon today was the Christian responsibility to be true to our heritage and faith in a country that was founded on the importance of God in our lives and our freedom to worship.
After lunch the team decorating the church for the VBS. The entire group worked hard to accomplish this and did a great job. After this set up was complete the team went out canvassing for a second day.
Following dinner the group stayed in Middlesboro to see the fourth of July fireworks. Upon return to the campus the small group - family time was held.
Monday is just a short time away the group is looking forward to the kids coming and getting started with the Bible School. Please keep everyone on the team in your prayers and pray especially for the seeds they will be planting in the hearts of the children here in Harrogate.
