Give
thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make
known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell
of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let
the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. Look to the LORD and his
strength; seek his
face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his
miracles, and the judgments he pronounced, O descendants of Israel his servant, O
sons of Jacob, his chosen ones. —1 Chronicles 16:8-13
The next word is the word that we get Eucharist from, and it is about giving thanks. We bless God for His
character, we thank Him for all that He’s done, we bless Him for who He is. We
enter His presence praising Him and worshipping Him.
Praise blesses us, too. We are drawn closer to God as we praise Him, and
praise is contagious. When we begin to praise God for His attributes and
benefits, others in turn do the same.
When David brought the Ark of God into the tent inside the city of
We’re to seek the face of the Lord always, and we’re to thank Him.

God and praise Him for who He is and what He has done for you, specifically.
